April Fool's Day is just one day in a year, which is definitely not enough for our comedians to celebrate their goofiness! Trust us; they aren't scared to make a fool of themselves.
Funtastic Four is a comedy event featuring four superheroes from Bangalore, who all have basically one superpower- To make you laugh till you drop. It is a one-of-a-kind comedy show which promises to make you laugh away the worries of your stressful work week!
Pooja Vijay: The host - India's first stuttering comedienne who has hosted a number of shows in various venues across the country. She is known for her self-deprecating humour and political incorrectness.
Punya Arora: A Punjabi by nature and South-Indian at heart and a self-proclaimed Biryani connoisseur! Her style of comedy is observational, light-hearted and may involve more than one accent. Punya has been featured on every major stand-up stage across India and her work has been covered by print, radio, Buzzfeed and Huffingtonpost India. She is in love with underwater photography, traveling and life in general. She's also a professional photographer and a visiting faculty at Light & Life Academy, Ooty.
Shankar Chugani: As a kid, Shankar Chugani was distressingly short and easily intimidated. Now, he’s still short, but less easily intimidated, and busy making people laugh. Over the last 5 years, Shankar’s high energy performances have entertained people across the country - from small open mics to massive audiences in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Pune. Come join them to find out what it feels like to be a small town boy forced to dance as a girl, amongst other stories.
Suman Kumar: is a novelist, comedian, and stay-at-home-dad. His brand of personal, slice-of-life humor resonates with and delights audiences. All three of them. He is currently touring with his solo stand-up special, Mr. Mommy.
Jagriti is a Performance Arts space dedicated to Theatre, Music, Dance and Comedy. Founded in 2011 by Arundhati and Jagdish Raja, the space has hosted several productions from India and around the world. A 200-seat theatre, built around a full-thrust stage, it is fully equipped to cater to both artistes and audience. The main stage is designed for intimate performances, with adjoining spaces for informal lectures and gatherings, and an attached restaurant- 'The Fat Chef'. Jagriti is owned and operated by the not-for-profit ART Foundation, a registered charitable trust.
The Rooftop - above the main auditorium is an open-to-sky space with a staging area that can accommodate about 50 people. A raised and walled off platform can work as a perfect area for puppet theatre. The Rooftop has a restroom and a pantry.
The Terrace - alongside the auditorium, the Terrace can accommodate about 20 people as an informal gathering area.
Lumbini - extending out from the foyer, Lumbini has a stage and an open-to-sky terraced space for about 80 people.
