Mrinmoy who is lively, instinctive, high spirited, energetic, spontaneous is crippled by a car accident soon after his marriage. Mrinmoy’s father had passed away and his mother, a person of strong character, lives with him and his wife Urmi. Mrinmoy is assisted by a nurse, Ranjana, who has been with him for a long time taking care of his daily needs. Mrinmoy does not want his wife to witness his physical pain and wants her to remain as she was when they were married. He would love to see his wife as beautiful as she was during marriage every day morning and he would gain his strength to live. Mrinmoy’s brother, Tonmoy has a business which keeps him busy in a different city away from home. The family has an aged physician, Dr Tarafdar, who has become a family friend who would spend a great deal of time with Mrinmoy, ensuring that his spirits are up  and he is medically supervised closely. Mrinmoy can die any day. Life is complex for Urmi. Urmi loves Mrinmoy, she understands that Mrinmoy loves her more than she could dream of. Mrinmoy’s love is intense but would never flourish as man-woman relationship. Somehow Urmi and Tonmay have  come close and their relationship has matured. A retired Police Officer, Mr Lahiri, is a close friend of Mrinmoy’s mother, Mrs Sanyal. He has moved in close by. That evening Dr Tarafdar was spending time with Mrinmoy and Mr Lahiri had come over for a coffee.  Mrinmoy was under severe pain and all were concerned. The story takes a turn next day morning. Ranjana, finds next day morning that Mrinmoy has passed away in his sleep. Ranjana believes that Mrinmoy’s death is not natural. The story developes into a mystery and a great philosophy evolves.

Jagriti

Jagriti is a Performance Arts space dedicated to Theatre, Music, Dance and Comedy. Founded in 2011 by Arundhati and Jagdish Raja, the space has hosted several productions from India and around the world. A 200-seat theatre, built around a full-thrust stage, it is fully equipped to cater to both artistes and audience. The main stage is designed for intimate performances, with adjoining spaces for informal lectures and gatherings, and an attached restaurant- 'The Fat Chef'. Jagriti is owned and operated by the not-for-profit ART Foundation, a registered charitable trust.

The Rooftop - above the main auditorium is an open-to-sky space with a staging area that can accommodate about 50 people. A raised and walled off platform can work as a perfect area for puppet theatre. The Rooftop has a restroom and a pantry.

The Terrace - alongside the auditorium, the Terrace can accommodate about 20 people as an informal gathering area.

Lumbini - extending out from the foyer, Lumbini has a stage and an open-to-sky terraced space for about 80 people.
