COMEDY WITH A TWIST - This Play about Shrinking Spaces Mirrors B'luru

The humour is absurd but the park bench is a metaphor for shrinking spaces, ownership of territory , the idea of home and loss of personal connect in a bustling city . It was first written and staged by Kaul in 2008.

The city has changed drastically in the past 10 years so much so that it's almost unrecognisable,“ says Ravindran, referring to the city's traffic snarls and the steel flyover controversy , a conflict that is also centred around shrinking spaces. “Park talks about all this without being literal.“ In Kaul's signature style, it is philosophy and pathos mixed with relatable amusement. The play is performed by Ashish D'Abreo, Dee pak Subramanya and Jimmy Xavier.
